Angus Genetics shine at FBNZ
Angus genetics shine at FBNZ two day Event at Meat & Wool NZ Beef Expo.
Staged prior to the National Bull Sales on Saturday, Sunday and Monday 9 – 11th May this the third FBNZ competition attracted a very large number of young cattle enthusiasts to contest the various age group and breed Hoof and Hook events and the raft of educational beef modules.
Superbly run again, this event is growing so fast it could well become a major event in its own right, such is the enthusiasm and competitiveness of those taking part.
Young people are coming from all over the country to take part and during their time together they are given the opportunity to learn and care for their animals and at the same time have a heap of fun together.
With the strength of the Angus Youth movement it is no surprise to see amongst the competitors and place getters a number of our youngsters, topping the list for outstanding performances were;
Zane Swart – Overall Senior Beef Ambassador.
Anna Playfair-Hannay– Kaharau Overall Champion Handler, Overall Champion Judging.
Matt Herries – Overall Reserve Champion Handler.
Patrick Crawshaw– Overall Reserve Champion Judging.
