Location: Napier, Hawke’s Bay

What is your day job?
I’m a Office Coordinator and Sales Support Administrator

How did you come to be involved with Future Beef NZ?
I came onboard in the middle of 2022 as the Event Coordinator. It seemed like the perfect fit as I am also the event coordinator of Future Sheep New Zealand.

What is your favourite part of the Hoof and Hook competition?
I love meeting all the competitors and watching them all learn something new from the event and the industry professionals that get in behind this event

Why do you think a competition like hoof and hook is important to the industry?
It’s an incredibly important competition to raise awareness and educate people who don’t come from farming backgrounds but also encourage people from farming backgrounds to show them different areas of the industry.

What is your role for Future Beef New Zealand?
I ensure that our competitors have the opportunity to attend this event. I work all year round with our sponsors and key stakeholders to guarantee that the event will run smoothly for everyone involved.

What is the best advice (life or career) that you’ve ever been given?
It’s okay to ask for help. Great things in a business are never done by one person. They are done by a team of people
